1 Samuel 25:26-31
Legacy Standard Bible
26 “So now, my lord, as Yahweh lives and as your soul lives, since Yahweh has restrained you from [a]shedding blood, and (A)from saving yourself by your own hand, so now, (B)let your enemies and those who seek evil against my lord, be as Nabal. 27 So now let (C)this [b]gift which your servant-woman has brought to my lord be given to the young men who [c]went about with my lord. 28 Please forgive (D)the transgression of your maidservant; for (E)Yahweh will certainly make for my lord an enduring house because my lord is (F)fighting the battles of Yahweh, and (G)evil will not be found in you all your days. 29 And should anyone rise up to pursue you and to seek your [d]life, then the [e]life of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of the living with Yahweh your God; but the [f]lives of your enemies (H)He will sling out [g]as from the hollow of a sling. 30 And it will be that when Yahweh does for my lord according to all the good that He has spoken concerning you, and (I)appoints you ruler over Israel, 31 then this will not [h]cause stumbling or a troubled heart to my lord, both by having shed blood without cause and by my lord having saved himself. (J)When Yahweh deals well with my lord, then remember your maidservant.”
