3 So he went and married Gomer daughter of Diblaim, and she conceived and bore him a son.(A) 4 Then the Lord said to him:

Name him Jezreel,[a](B) for in a little while
I will bring the bloodshed of Jezreel(C)
on the house of Jehu(D)
and put an end to the kingdom of the house of Israel.
5 On that day I will break the bow of Israel(E)
in Jezreel Valley.(F)
