16 Therefore thus says the Lord God:
“Behold, I lay in Zion (A)a stone for a foundation,A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation;Whoever believes will not act hastily.
32 Why? Because they did not seek it by faith, but as it were, [a]by the works of the law. For (A)they stumbled at that stumbling stone.
33 As it is written:
(A)“Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense,And (B)whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”
11 For the Scripture says, (A)“Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”
8 and
(A)“A stone of stumblingAnd a rock of offense.”
(B)They stumble, being disobedient to the word, (C)to which they also were appointed.
