¹⁶ Satan^(A) has bound^(B) this woman, a daughter of Abraham,^(C) for eighteen years—shouldn’t she be untied from this bondage^[a] on the Sabbath day?”

¹⁷ When he had said these things, all his adversaries^(D) were humiliated,^(E) but the whole crowd was rejoicing over all the glorious things he was doing.^(F)
