The Parable of the Ten Minas

11 As(A) they were listening to this, he went on to tell a parable because he was near Jerusalem,(B) and they thought the kingdom of God was going to appear straight away.(C)

12 Therefore he said, ‘A nobleman travelled to a far country to receive for himself authority to be king[a] and then to return. 13 He called ten of his servants, gave them ten minas,[b] and told them, “Engage in business until I come back.”
