A Man Cleansed

³⁹ He went into all of Galilee,^(A) preaching in their synagogues^(B) and driving out demons. ⁴⁰ Then^(C) a man with leprosy^[a](D) came to him and, on his knees,^[b](E) begged him, ‘If you are willing, you can make me clean.’^{(F) 41} Moved with compassion,^[c](G) Jesus reached out his hand and touched^(H) him. ‘I am willing,’ he told him. ‘Be made clean.’
