¹ Hear this, all you peoples;
listen, all who inhabit the world,^(A)

² Listen, heavens, and pay attention, earth,^(A)
for the Lord has spoken:
“I have raised children^[a] and brought them up,
but they have rebelled against me.^(B)

41 “Be silent before me, coasts and islands!^(A)
And let peoples renew their strength.
Let them approach; let them testify;
let’s come together for the trial.

⁹ All the nations are gathered together,
and the peoples are assembled.^(A)
Who among them can declare this,^(B)
and tell us the former things?
Let them present their witnesses
to vindicate themselves,
so that people may hear and say, “It is true.”
